6800 bad fps!

I get anywhere from 15-35 fps and i play at 1024x768(no aa) with everything on low settings except for sound is on high. I just thought my comp should be able to run bf2 better. I have a Athlon xp 3200, 1gig of pc2700 ram, and a vanilla 6800. Nothing is overclocked. I have processes down to 27 and they take up about 190m out of 2461m. I can run things on med for the most part when there is about 50 players or less usually around 30 to 50 fps. But once there is more than 56 players my frames just go way down into the teens most of the time. I was wondering if you guys thought this would be normal for my card? Thanks for any help.

Oh and every other game I own runs great. I can even run fear at pretty decent settings.

Some people with that problem unistalled, and it seemed to solve the problem.

After The Patch I Lost around 15 FPS of my average.

Went from 70+

To 50-60

I cant tell the Difference but That Sucks!

you are only getting 60 fps with an SLI set up?

Wow...

I'm averaging about 60 with a single standard 6800... (reported by FRAPS... Not sure if there is any difference between FRAPS and ingame FPS measuring. All set to high with 2xaa at 1024x768

Yup As usual all other games run Super fast.

I lowered my lighting and dynamic shadows down which gave me back some FPS

ya, i have a 6800 too, with only 1 gig of ram, and i can't play on medium settings either, im not sure what the problem is, i would try getting more RAM mabe.

Same problem with a 5950ultra agp, all low at 1024 x 768 and my fps is sucking the big one.

I tried reinstalling didnt help. I guess I will just deal with it.

The problem is CPU limitation, this is why you see problems when thereare more than 50 people on the server, the CPU has more people to keep track of and more work to do.

I think my CPU is just fine for gaming ATM It maybe an intel but it still runs better than some AMD's LoL
