Is this supposed to happen??

I got SF and installed the full 1.2 patch.
When I start SF and join a BF2 vanilla server the game closes, restarts, and then starts loading the server. Is this supposed to happen?

Also when I tried to do Singleplayer Night Flight it loads Ghost Town and there is no bots anywhere.

EDIT:I only get a problem with Night Flight on Expert. I tried easy and it was fine and there was bots.

Decide which you want to play first, Bf2 or SF.
They're different games as far as your PC's concerned.
No idea about the SP question, but just play online and you'll find your way around.

As far as the shutdown and reload of other game... Mine does that too.

Cant offer anything in reference to the nightflight/ghost town though

Are you sure you picked single player and not create local server when you went to play Night Flight? If you create a local server there are no bots.

I have had this problem connecting to a game my mate was in. He gave me the IP addy over TS and after I put it in (Ghost Town) but was booted out of SF and ended up in a Strike at Karkand game, it was down to the two servers running off the same IP (router based) and it was the port number which was different.

BF2 was 16565
BF2 SF was 16567

or something like that..

So I always make sure I double check the port number..

I miss the bf42 menu, where you chose the mod, then activated it. The black screen in between bf and sf sux. Variety is the spice of life

I don't think it happens when you start the game and select a SF map first, Only when switching from BF2 to SF maps, but I don't play many SF maps, so Im not sure.

If you want to play vanilla, click the vanilla shortcut.
If you want to play SF, click the SF shortcut.

If you put the SF disk in the drive, you can click either, without having to change the disk and you won't get it closing to desktop and opening again - just make sure you click the shortcut you want to play.

A good way to prevent this happening, is if you, in the server browser, click show same mod only - then you won't see both SF and Vanilla maps at once, so you'll have to click the correct shortcut.
