I am almost near another Unlock/Rank and I was just wondering what Gun is better to unlock.

The Support Extra or the Engineer Extra gun?

All depends which class you'll use more.
The PKM Support is considered to be great, so's the Engineers JackHammer, but the Chinese and MEC Shotguns are'nt too different with rate of fire.

which guns are you referring to specifically?

I had to choose between the 2nd tier support and first tier engineer, I tried 2nd tier support

The MG36 support machinegun is ok but not fantastic..

If you play Engy alot the Jackhammer Auto shotgun is more fun but it's not all that effective really..

I think you would get more fun out of the supportgun tho ^^

So there is two support guns I can unlock? I know of the PKM, but what are the other guns which must of been added in SF?

Before I would have said the engineer unlock (MP7), but it was nerfed in 1.2. So I would recommend unlocking the support unlock (MG36) because it's accuracy has been increased 8x.

I dont know about you, but to me the engineer class is useless, thus i havent unlocked the guns for it. I would go with the Pkm or MG36 bc now after 1.2 they are amazingly accurate and powerful.

I noticed in original BF2 that the engineer class shows an unlock for an Uzi type gun (which is available to British SAS Engineers).

Is that just an error or is that the next weapon unlock after the 7-shot shotgun?

Think about this other point though.

At least with the support class you have a good gun to begin with. The engineer class on original BF2 has a single-shot shotgun making it a terrible choice.

So upgrading engineer at least gives you a useable gun.

I love the engineer class on Ghost. That SAS Uzi is awesome. one of my favorite guns because it shoots fast and is accurate. I often use it in single-shot mode too.

Ironically, that uzi is faster then the P90 (should be the opposite)

go for the support unlock... if you're not good @ being engi, dont try the unlock as you will be complaining.

The SAS Engineer is not an Uzi, its a MP7.

I like Engi and Support unlocks, go with which class u play more.

PKM or mg36, both are excellent and I prefer mg36 to the PKM, you have to get pkm first tho.

It isn't effective as a medium to long range assault weapon but it is lethal in close quarters like alleys in Karkand or Sharqui, or the Convoy on Ghost Town. It is also great defense when you get out of your armor to repair it. That said, I love the PKM too. I haven't played it since the patch, but heard it is even better. Lately I've kind of been on an Engy in armor kick though. I think both are great, depending on which of those kits you prefer at the moment.
