flying UAV

ok, just a random question to see how many would like this...but now with the new visable UAV flying around, how many think that shooting it down should give you a "destroyed a strategic asset point" just like if you were to blow up the trailer? Ya I know it could have its problems, but we are talking about 1 point for shooting it down.

Plus, I think now that it is visable, you should be able to spot it. Why? Because every single freaking time I see that thing flying in the air, I point at it, press and hold Q and try to spot it. I just am too used to spoting enemies lol...so, spoting enemy uav just would be another weird, pointless, but somewhat useful feature.

ps: I probably wont look at this post for a while, going to play bf2 lol. I'll be back in there...trying to spot the uav only to hit myself and say "Duh stupid"

Should be worth a point, it is small and moving so not always the simplest thing to hit, i think it is a commander asset so should be scored as such.
You really need to be able to spot it, what use is it being visable if you cant tell anyone else

nice ideas, have been said many times when people saw the video before 1.2 patch, but they are not gonna happen as DICE said they are not planning on implementing them in the near future. But who knows if enough people want it, they might.

Those are great ideas I always try to spot it as well and was thinking damn I should be able to spot it. And by being able to spot the UAV could cut down on the arty deaths us grunts take.

Yes spotting becomes habitual, and I think the UAV should be a spottable object. I just hate having little red question marks all around my map after I TRY to spot the UAV...Spotting is the habit I just can't kick.

Same for me...which is why though I can see the problems with it, I feel it should be able to be spotted. It just would make it easier...since...every time you see red, you just naturally press Q and spot lol
