Crashes Randomly After Startup

OK heres the deal

When i start up BF2, Ill go to singleplayer, pick the map, and while its loading, the blue screen will appear and it freezes

And when i try to connect to a server through the multiplayer thing, Ill try to connect and itll crash to the desktop before it starts loading..

Then if it freezes, when you start it back up, it has that screen where it says microsoft windows has recovered from a serious error, then it says something about how there is a driver error..

Any idea how to fix it???? :cry:

have you actually tried anything knowing that it's a driver error?

Now its been crashing while playing call of duty 2

I even uninstalled BF2

Someone help please!
This is a Dell PC (Dimension 410 i think?)
Specs:
Intel Pentium 4 Processor 640 w/HT Technology (3.2GHz)
2GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz (4x512M)
160GB Serial ATA Hard Drive (7200RPM) w/DataBurst Cache
ATI Radeon X600 SE HyperMemory 256MB PCIe

(friends PC, not mine.. I'd never buy another Dell....)

Does it have anything to do with overheating??
