I realize that's more than your $1500 but a 7800GTX go just blows the doors off everything else out right now. a 6800 isn't all that fast any more. The bottlenect in laptops in terms of performance is the graphics card because as of now they aren't really upgradable so that what the longevity of you notebook will be based on. food for thought if you plan on keeping it and gaming with it for a while.

Right now, I can only spend $1500. I don't want to play on all high. I don't even care if i'm the last person on the server. I just want to be able to play BF2 without any lag, with the settings on medium (or low  ).

I saw an acer with a 2.2 Ghz processor, 1 Gig ram, a X700 (w/ 64mb dedicated video memory). It's $1,4** (don't remember). Which is the better of the two?

Thanks for all the help guys.

64 mb of graphics card memory isn't enough. I would say you need atleast 128 just for storing everything that needs to be processed.

At the same time I would stay away from alienware just because they can be very expensive. I'm not sure who else to recommend though for laptop manufacturers. I'm a desktop lover.
