Splash screen then back to desktop

Evening all,

Tonight I upgraded my graphics drivers to Catalyst 6.2, then patched BF2 to 1.2

Now my game wont run!

It shows the BF2 splash screen for a few moments then its back at my Windows desktop. Nothing else happens.

any ideas?

K i had a problem similar to this is started with the mouse disappearing in the game. Then Later on my screen would blink black while iM playing and do it a few more times then shut down. MY fix was to go to desktop. right click. then click properties/ settings/advanced/troubleshoot. THen move the slider bar two slots left. clcik apply or ok and try. Sorry if this doesnt work.

Thanks for the link, but I'm not getting any kind of debug window up. The splash screen appears, the display goes black for a fraction of a secnd then I'm back at the windows desktop.

Same prob as Robmonster.

I fixed it by rolling back to version 6.1 of the Catalyst drivers. 6.2 seems to have this problem for some people.

same problem.. except it splashes and reboots sometimes.
