Aerial Service Ribbon...?

I've been trying for over 2 months to get my Aerial Service Ribbon...it's my last ribbon to get, not counting the War College Ribbon since that's almost impossible to get...lol. So, obviously, I suck at flying on BF2....ironically, I'm a pilot in real life...lol. So, does anyone have any suggestions as to what the best/easiest map is to get the ribbon?

Note: To get the ribbon requires 19 kills in the airplane and 10 minutes in the airplane in the SAME round...

Well, if this was pre-1.2 we were talking about, I'd say load up the Wake Island and be one of the J-10 pilots. But with the new AA, I have no idea. Get 19 kills and then park your jet on the outskirt of the map and read a book?

At first I was pretty dismayed with the new AA. Now I don't mind I am just not as brazen as I used to be. Im not saying IM the best. Some days ill end up with 3 kills 10 deaths but the last few games Ive been 38-7 or what not. Just practice your divebombing on single player "operation cleansweep" Just jet it up for a whole round its pretty easy to get once you are half decent with bombing runs. This page says 19 kills and 15 minutes stil easy

Try Clean Sweep or Daquin Oilfields on 64 players.

Just jking about the sucking part.

Zatar wetlands is good. Wide open - - other pilots don't usually make it across the map. Lot of close targets. Usually get 30+ kills on that map. Even post patch, I still do well on that map.


19s not really hard though on any map. Fly high and bomb aa sites. Theres lots of those little buggers now and they are so very easy to kill.

I love the new patch from a pilots point of view. Bigger rush now. Used to be every once in a while there was a pilot around that made you work at it. The rest of the time you just tried to out do your best highest kills. Didn't get fun until you got into the high numbers.

Now you have to pay attention every time you launch. No more talking on the phone and flying lol. New patch gives me a serious woody

well being a really good pilot helps.... lol

but if you want it for sure...go to a 16 or 32 player map...apply for cammander get in a jet, park it in a desolate area, and command fomr there... each kill you get with arty will count for the jet...same with helicopter.

Kubra Dam is also a good place to get the ribbon...

Find a wake island 2004 server. Get yourself in a jet and just spawn rape the enemy airfeild. Be sure to take out the AA before you move in then just randomly shoot and bomb around the carrier. Always go for repairs if you have more than 4 bars of damage and then once you have enough points just fly really high up (around 600 ft) and fly in circles in the map untill its been 10 minutes. I got mine just by being really good in a plane, I had 54-0 at the end of the round, but that was before the AA improvement.

Go fly circles at 600 ft for 10 minutes. I'm sure your team mates appreciated that.

hey i gave my opinion on how to get the ribbon, last thing i need is some guy who's never even played along side me in BF2 to just randomly berate me.

and for your information i still don't have the knife badge...

and as for the other guy...lame tactics yes....however it still works with the 1.2 patch....i was on a server last night were someone did that...

Yea my tactics lame, what a usefull post informing me of it. The guy asked the best TECHNIQUE to get the badge and I told him. I got my veteran knife and basic pistol badge in the same round just by being a medic and using proper TECHNIQUE. You don't get awards or points for your teams sake do you? No.
