just a question but does BF2 Patch 1.1/BF2SF enhance the spec reading qualities of BF2 and/or require more RAM than Vanilla? if that is the case the reason I can't play BF2SF or BF2 after I have installed SF is that I only have 256 MB RAM

256 MB of RAM, your living in the past, upgrade or don't play BF2 at all.

The minimum requirement are 512MB of ram and you'd ideally want a gig or even 2 gig. I didn't think it could run on 256MB.

I am saving up my money to do so right now, until then I am just going to be playing SOCOM II: US Navy SEALs, Call of Duty/Call of Duty United Offensive or Call of Duty II (don't know why CoD2 works, practically same requirements as BF2 and it works PERFECTLY) maybe Battlefield 1942 if I can get the sound bug out (it has a sound like landsliding rocks all the time when I play)

Vanilla BF2 worked for some reason, minor SP lagging, CoD2 which also requires 512MB runs PERFECTLY though, almost like it only requires 128MB

BF2 has a much wider and larger landscape design, COD2 has much smaller maps for multiplayer, and if your playing singleplayer you can pass if you put the settings right down.

I haven't changed any settings but it looks like real life on default

RAM is very cheap at the moment, upgrade to meet the minimum specs and you should be able to play fine.

Depending on what brand/type/speed/latency of RAM you get.

I would if I could but I for one since I installed SF/1.1 it's stopped even trying to get to the main menu, and I don't even know how to take an in-game screenshot, with CoD2 I am usually in too much trouble to woory about hitting the Prt Scrn key

Use Xfire, or paint (print screen>paint>paste>saveas>imageshack>tbf2)

For me, I'd always rather be over the minimum, you will still have lag and trippyness in game, so what I'd do is take the 256 chip out, throw in 2x1GB or just 1GB, or if you like buy 4x256mb.

Same for the rest of your hardware, always make sure your more than above the minimum specs for the game.

I don't know why but my Nvidia card absolutley sucked with BF2, since then I've gotten an ATI Radeon, and it rocks
