I have bf2 vanilla installed and patched up to 1.2, is i get special forces will i have to re-install the patch or get other ones or anything.

After installing BF:SF you will need to reinstall the 1.2 patch. The install order must be: BF2 > BFSF > Patch 1.2

my friend just got SF after he had installed the 1.2 patch. every time hes tries to get into a server it says modified content so i told him to reinstall the 1.2 patch but when he tries to it says he cant b/c he doesnt have the 1.12 patch installed. he then reinstalled the 1.12 patch and still says the same when goes to intall the 1.2 patch.

Tell him to try reinstalling everything from scratch.

Install BF2

Install SF

THEN install the 1.2 FULL patch.

SF patches to 1.10 or something like that, however it's not 1.12.

And he was installing the incremental which is for 1.12
