Um, yeah like the title says. hopped in the AA real quick to shoot at a passing plane and was killed, and essex was listed as the cause. Anyone else have this happen? is this even possible? I sure can't see the essex so I can't quite figure out how he would hit me intentionally, unless he just knew where the AA turrent was and strafed it with his guns sight-unseen.

It's another proof for the faulty code of the AA. But its not as seldom as you think. Last time on the Oilfields I was driving along with a Linebacker with 2 shots in the pod. A Su-30 flew over my head and I shot the 2 rockets after him... nothing special you say? right. Now it comes: Just as the Linebacker reloaded (and everybody knows how long it takes to reload an AA vehicle) one of the rockets killed a mate who was flying in a chopper (out of sight)....
For me AA of 1.2 is aside of the sound bug one of the biggest showstoppers :hmm: .Comment

Probably would of been a lucky shot. But as said with a bit of practice and a friend on the other team telling you where the rounds are landing you can pull off a lot of kills doing it.

Havnt had too much to complain about but the AA does seem to lock onto to anything thats moving. Pain from flying point of view as you get shot by friendlies a lot
and from using the AA cos you get lots of team damage and even TKs if youre unlucky . Pain pain pain.....sigh

I do this all the time when Commander of USMC on Wake.
Jump into the second CIWS cannon and just spray the North flag, you hit something eventually.

THe essex gun used to have a minimum range where the bullets would explode i thought but now it seems they go on until they hit something.Comment

Its not just the Essex, you can fire many things accross the map and randomly hit something. Long way from a bug but it is a one in a million to actually kill someone that way.Comment
