Can an M1 tank MG shoot through walls?

Lets me start by saying i usually dont post about things like this but its been bugging me all day . I was flying a jet and i saw we had no bases so like a good player i jump out onto the flag . As soon as i hit the ground i see and attack chopper comming so i run into the building im near , Its one of the buildings where u go in and turn right there a hallway and a window at the end and a back entrance .

Then as im hiding in the building listening to what direction the choppers going i hear a tank . The tank comes right up to the building and starts firing its main turret and i see the damage on the wall . So i think to myself im safe ill just listen" x-fi' to what he is going to do next . Then he starts firing his machine gun and i see the tracers go right through the wall into me and i die. So right away i look thinking maybe someone just shot me from the window . But no it was the M1 tanks ? Maybe i just havnt had it happen often but it did seem very odd seeing machine gun bulets coming through the wall .

Yeah,an M1 can pretty well bring the whole bloddy structure down. In combat situations, nothing would survive (in the structure I think you are referring to) a direct hit by a projectile from the M1.

The mounted gun can easily desroy a wall and everything inside.

The M1 is an awsome and unbelievably destructive weapon.


EDIT: OK I looked more closely at your post again. You are not asking about the main cannon being able to destroy the building.
But yeah, the machine guns would rip it to shreads.

He means ingame, not IRL. IMO you were just a tad too close to the wall and a part of you was clipping through the wall into the outside area. In which case all the had to do was shoot the exposed part to kill you. Happens alot, but alot more when you're prone against a wall/fence, etc.

I have to admit, I do so enjoy the "wtfx omgz haxor!" accusations I get after knifing someone because their foot was sticking through a wall.

Ive been playing BF since the Bf42 wake demo and i know all about wall cliping . But i was no were near the wall ,infact i was up against
the oposite wall . This guy knew i was in the building cuz he fired his main turret at me . Then when he started firing his machine gun i was thinking WTF is he doing . Thats when i got hit once and i saw the tracer go right through the wall and into me . At that point i was like oh S**t how the hell . Then he fired again and i could see the tracers go right through the wall again , and i died . Maybe it was a bug or somthing but i havnt seen that once in my 200 hours of playing . Im not saying this guy was cheating im just saying it was F**king weird .

not sure about the co-axial, but i know the 50 cal can go through fences and such.
