I had BF2 installed with its latest patch and now I installed SF and it says I need a current version when I try to join servers..

Special forces patches BF2 to verison 1.12 so you have to reapply the 1.2 patch.

SF patches to 1.1. But yeah, you need to install the 1.2 patch.

You may have to. This is what I did:

reinstall BF2, then immediately install SF. THEN installed the full 1.2 patch. Everything worked fine after that.

Yep ^^ this should work for you.

Personally I would uninstall everything first. Reboot computer. Then install BF:2, then do as Arkasha stated and install BF:SF. Install full patch and you are ready to rock.

DONT INSTALL THE INCREMENTAL PATCH that is 83mb or something like that. You need the full 1.2 patch. Post back here if you have any problems.
