    No "High" res after patch!

Greetings to all! After installing the new patch everything seemed to load business as usuall. I went to check my video settings and they had defaulted back to 800X600... No big deal, I reset them to 1280X1024@70hz just like before. The game changed the settings and I could tell that everything had smoothed out like normal, however!... Once the map loaded and I joined, everything was still at 800X600 med. I tried rejoining several servers and rechecking my settings, all seemed right according to the options/video settings screen.

Has anyone else experienced this? Can it be fixed?

    Thanks!

Nope, did you restart the game?

I am having exactly the same problem that you have described. Radeon 9800 Pro with latest drivers.

      800x600 is fugly as hell.

This is all I can suggest. Go to my documents/battlefield2/mods/Bf2 and xpack both folders then delete the cache files. Then go into the game and try to set your settings.

Well, I'm back running again. I did nothing special to get it working. Some combination of
          1) Playing in SP after changing settings and ignoring restart instruction.
          2) Using ASE to try to play and watching it CTD
          3) Playing my online profile in SP
          4) Playing online through built in browser (because ASE would not login properly)
          5) Finally playing online through ASE (which started working after awhile, automagically)

Silly business. I checked my video settings at had 1024x768 working, but not 2xAA like I asked. But then later, 2xAA was on, without me trying to force the issue.

I feel a lot happier than people who get the ice rink effect or no buildings, though.
