    Water graphics worse?

    Hello all,

Not going to start a bashing against patch. However, did any of you notice that when you shoot the water it doesn't splash now post patch? I know for fact that when you shot the water in pre-patch that it use to splash up and adding to realism.

I checked my graphics/video settings and everything is set to high. Did they change this to help with the so called FPS issues?

Well that stinks. Why must the people with great graphics cards suffer with lack of visual candy now?

they took it out in 1.12 and didnt put it back in 1.2. many people complain and have been complaining about this. even with highest settings. bad lizard claims he still has it, I dont know if its on multi player or only single.

Well, unless its a server side option, every server I have been to the water doesn't splash when I shoot with my rifle. Heli missles I am not sure.. but regular bullets dont.

I have a good computer and graphics card and everything is on high. Kinda sux to see them take it out. So..whats next? Shadows? Cuz few people complain?

                Re: Water graphics worse?

From what i have expirenced its only from the infantry weapons, blackhawk minguns, and the cars, everything else leaves a splash in the water.

All my weapons (Vehicle and personal) still produce a water "Splash" upon impact. They have never stopped producing this despite which patch I had installed.

I run everything on High @ 1024x768 with 2x AA with the specs below. Everytime I see a thread about water affects... I double check and I still have them.

Weird? I was flying on a blackhawk on GhostTown and I was shooting the water. Still no water splash??

I will check other classes also. See if they produce splash effect. I tested this out on GhostTown with the river running near bridge. I will check out other places as well with different classes and I will post my findings.

Like I mentioned before I have a Geforce 6800GT and run everything on High so I doubt its my graphics card.

I have my specs the same as yours if not higher, and I do not see a water splash. I haven't seen a water splash since 1.12 or lower

yes dont worry, your graphics card cant control if a water splashes or not. only the settings etc. if it was your card, instead of not showing up, it would drop the FPS or something of the sort. no worries about hardware.
