hey i did that regidt thing and it fixed it..but a couple weeks later..i cant play. ill try that regedt thing again but has anyone had this happen to them? when i try to join a multiplayer server...it says "Your Cd-Key is Invalid"

Navigate to: C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\Support\Battlefield 2_code.exe
Enter your CD Key number using that tool and all should be back to normal. -

ok sorry...its fixed, i guess your supposed to use ur Bf2SF key in the SF locAtion
:p well i cant find the SF CD Key though...it told me where to go to get it on the thread about the missing cd key, but it just like cut off...DOES anyone know how to get the SF Cd Key if ur using the EA Downloader?

To the best of my recollection, there was no second CD Key issued when getting SF via the EA Downloader. I know when I used the EA Downloader to reinstall SF, it recognized my version of BF2 and simply installed.Comment

Can anyone help me with a delimma. My computer was messed up, evreytime i loaded up ANY game it would always crash after a couple of minutes of play. I eventually found out that it was my cd drive that was causing the problem. I popped open the side of my computer tower and disconnected my cd drive. Ever since i have only been able to play counter strike source as it is on steam and it doesn't require a cd a to run it. But now i cant play BF2 .
Is there anyway in which i can play BF2 without the cd. I have the cd key. I really want to download the patch as i have not played it on yhet (but with the sound of things i dont think i want to anyway). And i would also like to get it running in time for Euro fource booster pack.
Help would be very appricated. Cheers.Comment

u can try buying a new cd drive or if ur old cd drive still works a bit..u can try making ISO's of ur gaming cds and use daemon tools to mountthem so its like having the cd in ur computer..but not in ur cd driveComment

The disk image is no help i can cannot open the cd drive. I have alcohol 120% but i dont know how to use it as my brother download it. How much is a new cd drive. I have just spent £200+ on new graphics card and more RAM. Thanks anyway.Comment

For a reinstallation of BF2:SF it isn't needed as it just get auto inserted if you either use the EA downloader of if you burned the BF2:SF from EA Download to a DVD.
For specific instruction on getting BF2:SF to DVD if you don't want t download BF2:Sf for a reinstallation:
