if i download it to the comp i have now, and i get a new comp next week... how will i get it on my new comp?

download it again or move the hard drive to the new pc. Or of course burn the installer.

Nah mate, The code you paid for off EA will still be valid for you I would have thought. Shouldn't be a problem. Many people downloaded SF from EA and have gotten it again since reinstalling. Not sure how it works but you'll be ok.
