Euro Forces doesn't support 64 player servers?

Is it true that Euro Forces is ONLY 16 player and 32 player online?? and there will be NO 64 player maps? Someone just said that in a server i was playing in and said it was on the EA forums, but i cant see it, though i could be blind/stupid or both.

This is very important for me, as i was intending to purchase Euro force but i personally only play 64 player maps from day1 and have no interest in smaller maps, so would be pointless to buy it if this is the case.

Also if this is the case, and i understand unlike SF, that servers will mix vanilla and euro force maps, do you think this will result in fewer 64 player servers in total? obviously this final question is conjecture, but i would like solid fact answers to the first part (with links if possible)

Can just put 64 people on a 32 player map.

Someone posted info about the maps last night it seems Great Wall and one of the other two maps are 64 player. Only one has a max of 32.

What do you mean, only one??

So your saying, we play, then when it gets to that map, 32 people get kicked ????

Having Vanilla servers add Euro maps would be stupid, because as Colin said the Vanilla users who DO NOT have Euro Forces installed would be fooked, and booted, that doesnt sound like a smooth accurate idea. Better research this more....

I know that the Euro Force maps definatly run on Vanilla servers, it was in an EA/DICE Q&A a while ago, i assume the full maps rotation servers (vanilla and EF) wont allow people to join unless they have EF installed to solve the booting at map change problem.

If its only one map that dosent support 64 players as standard, then i hope that one map will be left out of rotation on 64 player servers. Could one of the 2 people that clarified the first point please answer this one as well?

You can't join unless you have the map, yes. As for the other point, it's up the the server admin to decide what maps to play and not to play. Isn't it?

Of course its up to server admins on clanned servers, but im talking about the Official EA servers, as i said in the first post i only played 64 player servers (EA ones) which up till now run only full map rotations.

The question is how will 64 player servers be effected when one of the three new maps can only handle 32 players? will 32 people be kicked at map change? will the official 64 player servers run only 2 of the new maps? or will there be another method of keeping mixed 64 players servers alive?

ptegan can you post a link regarding the fact that you wont be able to join the mixed servers at all unless you have the EF expansion, as you state in your post? This would at least clear up half the questions for good. (i looked everywhere but must be going blind! :) )

I guess the real question is... do the 32 player maps in Euro Forces not ALLOW 64 players or are there just a few maps that have no 64 player variant? I think the answer is the latter. You can play 64 players on a 32 player map(not very fun IMHO. Game is too short since the ticket count is only 2x the base setting), so there would be no need to kick the extra 32.

Good point and so looks like we won't know untill its released and someone tries it, however i have just been hitting google hard again and found this on the.uk site, looks official to me and dosent say "maps" but "players"

- All three Battlefield 2: Euro Force levels are configured for singleplayer as well as 16 and 32 players multiplayer. 64 players multiplayer is not supported.
