patch 1.2 made my game a slide show

After i loaded 1.2 patch my game has become super laggy ... even the voices are choppy like a slide show. I have updated windows, video drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled game. Any advice is welcome and appreciated.

try resetting your options in game.
The patch may have reset them all to the default of maximum or something.
