I've seen people use this in some videos. The only thing I've seen related to this is a program you run outside the game, which seems unnecessary. I think this should be possible by rebinding cycle weapons. I can't find anything on it though.

Re: quick weapon switch

Use your scroll wheel to cycle through the weapon selection, or press the number keys to quick select.
Or do you mean as you scroll through with the wheel it'll auto select each weapon without clicking?

Re: quick weapon switch
I use "Q" for next weapon and so after practice you can virtually insta-switch to the any weapon by quickly tapping the key X number of times. Different kits have different loadout of course so it needs practice (i.e. medics have the extra to for health packs and paddles, etc)
animation-wise if your fast enough then it looks like you go straight to the selected weapon as it dosent have time to display the "in between" choices.

Re: quick weapon switch
Nice setup. unfortunately my mouse has no side to side on the scroll, but I can deal with it. I've always found the numbers to be quickest for me but I use a keyboard..... don't know if those speedpad things have all of the rows.Originally posted by Talustilt left = main weapon (3)
tilt right = sidearm (2)
tilt down = secondary weapon/grenade/rocket (4)
tilt up = utility weapon/c4/smoke/flashbang (5)

Re: quick weapon switch
Damn, 10 buttons is nice. what are you using? one of the logitechs I assume. I debated getting one but found that the razer copperhead fit in my hand better than the 518 or the G5/G7 did so I decided to give it a try. I fell in love. Sure it only has 5 buttons which are actually functional of the 7 but it's all I need and I could never give it up. just so comfy and accurate.
All I need on there is fire, zoom, crouch, and prone.

I'll have to try that tapping thing. I don't get why they just didn't add a previous weapon function.Originally posted by TeavesI use "Q" for next weapon and so after practice you can virtually insta-switch to the any weapon by quickly tapping the key X number of times. Re: quick weapon switch
Yea they prolly had multiple buttons on the mouse. I only got the two front buttons. I really need a new mosue.
BTW 10 buttons on a mouse? Would that not make it somewhat large and if it wasn't wouldn't it cover the whole mouse?

Re: quick weapon switch
I agree the game should have "last used weapon" like some other games, but i guess there was too many keysbinds aleready so they left it out? But we work with what we have got huh :)Originally posted by i made youI'll have to try that tapping thing. I don't get why they just didn't add a previous weapon function.
Im limited to only 5 buttons on my mouse or else i would probably use that mousewheel tilt thing as posted by talus above but the fast tapping works well for me for the time being, especially useful as AT so you can interupt the reload process of the DAO-12 in emergencies by "4-tapping" straight back to the shotgun in a split-second.

Re: quick weapon switch
You just need a good mouse with more extra buttons. I'm still using my 3 years old MS intellimouse optical.
Logitech G5 sounds good but it only has one extra which is left side button.
Logitech keyboard G15 has programmable capability and i believe it can let you bind serveral keys such as pressing a key(super combat medic) = jump+ prone+ draw shock paddle+shock + draw primary weapon + stand+ page up(in case your patient says thank u so you reply roger that).. etc
I tried some outside programs but they react very slow in BF2(i wanna fire all the chopper rockets all in once instead of tapping spacebar like crazy).
Anyway, your best bet is a new mouse and G15. I wanted to get a G15 but since they nerfed the chopper. i 'll stick to my 10 dollars keyboard.

Re: quick weapon switch
I have a $5 keyboard and a $15 MS optical (when i bought it 2.5 years ago). I also have a $35 logitech keyboard and an MX510. I'm convinced quality goes up with cheapness on this stuff.
