    Re: Weapon settings

OK - my mod doesn't have any tweak files - all the RAR files in it are only 1kb.... (object_client is only 1kb, it has no files in it)

I don't want to edit the original BF2 files either..

What you need to do is extract the defualt bf2 file. Then edit it and zip to your mod. Be sure that you dont change the file structure.

First, they are actually zip files even if you open them with WinRAR. The .tweak files are in objects_server.zip. If you want to edit weapons you'll need to copy the .tweak files into the objects_server.zip in your mod (maintaining the same folder path as the original) and edit them. If you have no objects_server.zip in your mod you can copy the one from mods\bf2 and just remove everything you don't want to change. You'll also need to add objects_server.zip to your mod's serverArchives.con file (at the top) if it isn't there already.

So there isn't an easy way to do all this in the Editor?

Editor might let you do some of these things but it's mostly useful for graphics mods and map editing. Unfortunately I can't even install the editor to investigate since I'm running Win 2000 rather than XP.
