yeah, CS was (note keyword: WAS) a good game, but that was before bf1942 came out. when i played the bf series, it was sooo much better than cs, some of my firends still ask me why, and i'll tell everyone what i think:
1. In bf2 there is a lot less name calling of "noob, haxor, ***** etc.
2. In bf2, it is not a pointless run around a tiny map killing each other
3. You get to use mad vehicles compared to CS nothing

I haven't played CS for 2 years now, I just think there are more constructive things to talk about other than flame someone because of their game of choice

But I'll move away, I guess mature and insightfull discussions aren't all that common or acceptable in these forums.

Dishing players that play another game, while stupidly generalizing wont make you look too good. I love close quarters battle games. You should try SWAT4 out. My brother is an avid CS player, hes mature, intelligent and a decent human being. He isnt calling me anything when I play BF2, even though he laughed his ass off when he saw a dolphin diver and all the "infantry" ********. I´m not calling him a n00b either after I tried to kill someone in CS. That game requires so much aiming and shooting skills that I got desperate trying to play it.

You're right about Swat 4, excellent cqb game, we (clan) play it a lot.

I know the post is a little inflamatory but i'm bored at work & it's allways fun to stir up a little heated debate to make the day go quicker

As for looking good i could'nt give a fying **** about looking good to you or anyone else on this forum.

Switched from BF2 to SWAT4. Excellent game for a hardcore clan. A living nightmare for a server admin though. First hand experience...

Counter-Strike takes a lot more hand-eye coordination than BF2. Close quarter, reflex intensive combat compared to prone, look around, wait, click combat. I like both, but to diss another game only makes you look stupid.

The irony here is that by making the 1.2 patch more infantry friendly, you have made the game closer to Counter-Strike than it has ever been.

yeh battlefield is spose to be about vehicles. in an interview with that lars gutenberg guy, a guy asks 'what seperates bf2 from all other games' and lars says 'definately the vehicles'
