Although i posted this whole long thing about the unbalancedness, after playing a few hours on wake island (my fav map) i have to agree with all people saying it just requires a lot more skill / restraint. I have to admit, im used to being able to fly around and to quote somone in another post "lay down a thick coat of rape" to the infantry. Now instead of just hovering over bases raping things, you have to actually use the terrain to your advantage and time your strikes, You know where the sites are, stay as low as possible, and ambush the IGLA, it requires you to really think hela more. Granted this leads to less kills, but after adjusting my flight style, it is atually sometimes more fun when i have a decent gunner as it is much more a challenge. This is ignoring the bugs in the AA and the lack of dogfighting in jets, But over all, just takes some getting used to.

Re: The New Patch- Not So Bad
What kind of skills it takes to play with the new patch? NONE! If you so happen to get the chance to shoot at your opponent first, you'll most likely win.
I used to be able to take out armor with ease with the old patch but I can't do it as efficiently in the new patch. Just in Karkand today, I spawn and what happens? There is an APC camping a flag. Bunnyhopping out of the APC's gunning and firing the Eryx/Sraw is the only way to go.
Quite frankly, the patch makes it noob friendly. All it has done is brought all players of varying skills in the old patch and leveling it out.
You just can't get any better than point and shoot since the patch is so limiting, plain and simple. There is a boundary in BF2 that you can't supress and well, the noobs are reaching that boundary faster then ever before.Comment
