AA is fine? Watch these...

I don't have a problem with the new AA, except for this. I know many people have seen this happen. For those who have seen none of the bugs in 1.2 here you go.

Note: Many of you have already seen the "ZatarAA" movie, the other ones are new.

the AA looks totally F'd but I wouldn't bother with it....since Infantry can easily hide from Air attacks. however I can see Cavalry based warfare units (AKA Vehicle whores) getting P.O.ed seeing as how those Tanks and APCs make nice juicy targets for Air assaults....it would be nice if they could fix this though, I have even saw a few full-time AVIATORS who were P.O.ed by this bug when I was skimming boards....simply because it looks stupid and takes half the fun out of Aerial gameplay (doging missiles seemed to be where they got their fun at)

this is why I laugh at the new AA...its just...stupid. it should be half of what it is now...so that way it still works well, but not....well doing what it does in those movies....and also gives a pilot a chance to use evasive manuevers to evade the missiles. But, I doubt that will happen. Soon tanks will be too over powered, and should be able to be killed by knifing them in the treads...

LMFAO, with APCs, Buggies, and Jeeps I can see knifing the tires and slowing them down....but dude, those treads are made of solid steel the best you could do is screw up your knife

yesterday I had the same thing, I get in AA site, guy drops his flares and I lock onto flares but shoot anyway, AA goes to flares then makes 90 degree to chopper .

Today, I was riding along with a tungsta (or how is it called) , chopper passes from the back over our head, within a sec the guy shoots 3 AA misiles, 3 hits and chopper is down .

Also today, I was in a chopper, I hear the AA beep , I go low and hear the lock beep , I am like WTF , I am after a building , I turn chopper around and what do I see, Two AA misiles just making a turn around the freaking building and killing me .

heh, I never use AA much unless the AI pilot is REALLY annoying me, like in Operation Clean Sweep where load after load after load of SU-34 Fullbacks just seem attracted to your squad at the island control base (I never get any farther) and start killing off you squad....I seriously die half the time from bombs....the other half from Armor, which is why I always play Spec Ops on Clean Sweep, there are usally at least 3 medics at the CP there and if they get taken out all at once by a bombing run I just pick up one of their kits and revive one and let him revive the others (I switch my kit for one of the medics, go over to another medic, revive him and hightail it back and take my kit again before the dude gets revived so I don't get stuck as a Medic) when the bombers make me angry enough I just hop in an APC and autocannon/TOW him until he's dead (seriously I have taken them out with TOWs)

Lol I know, I was just joking around I can just see them nerfing it to something stupid like that though because people whine about it. But you actually cannot knife the APC tires....unlike what a lot of people think, it really would be like knifing tank treads...seeing how those tires are only designed to take 50 cal rounds to them and stay inflated...least on the APC's I have seen.... History channel is my friend :p

It seems like they just changed the AA code from chance of hit to Fire=Hit no matter where or how long it takes. Id have to say those vids are quite disturbing. Thats why i cant wait for POE2 FTW!

True that, DICE is a bunch of f*** ups, or at least that's the impression they're continuing to give me. Even if core game BF2 goes to ****, I can still play some decent mods.
