    BF2 Crashes On Server Join

    First of all, I don't think this problem is patch-related because I've had success for the last two days with 1.2. I've made no changes, but for some reason, BF2 now crashes to the desktop when I click to join a server. It's not an overheating problem. I have no idea what could cause it, and I really don't feel like digging out my BF2 DVD and reinstalling. Any ideas?

          I had that problem earlier today and I reinstalled everything to fix it.

              Ditto - I had to reinstall the game and patch from scratch or I would CTD at map-loading.
