join a 16 or 20 player server that is running 64 player karkand, take out ur pistol, kill.

that's how i got my expert pistol and it was my first try.

My favourite target on Karkand were the snipers.

You found them on ladders and on the tops of buildings. I just shot them with the pistol.

Remember it's an accurate weapon as well, I capped a few guys at range.

try going for a map with less close contact, i think i got both my pistol and knife badges in those types. Maybe Fu She Pass?? The point is that you can pick off people and go for the chase when they aren't expecting someone behind them as much as they would in say karkand.
You've really got to try it out for yourself, i think i played all sorts of maps but one day you'll get a server full of muppets and it'll be easy!

I short, long or no yime limits on big maps MIGHT help.

they aren't expecting someone behind them as much as they would in say karkand.

Expect someone behind them? On Karkand?

A lot of my kills come from gunning someone down in the back. The point is, they just don't learn. I can't even get my own teammates to realise there's a medic behind them who's trying to heal them, let alone the enemy.

I've found that the players I play with have expectations. There are places they expect to be shot from, and places they don't. If you can circle behind them (easiest on Karkand) they usually won't look in time.

I got my Basic and Veteran Pistol Badge just today by using the sniper kit on Karkand-shoot them with sniper rifle, then pull out pistol, zoom, and shoot at them until they die. Pretty easy, I got both in the same game on my first try.

The best thing to do is be Sniper kit, why? Becuase when you are a Sniper and not camping and just going around that kit forcese you to use your pistol unless your reactions with a rifle are very quick and accurate.

I have been trying to get my basic pistol combat badge for so long now. WHat is teh best map team and kit. Also i need stragitys.

First things first.....if your serious about getting this award, remap your keys so your pistol (weapon slot2) is in a very handy position, so you can draw it quickly without fumbling for keys.
I remapped mine recently to my middle mouse button for instant action.

Pick a city map like Karkand with only the server half full, and try to out flank the opposition......use the UAV to its fullest extent.

I recently achieved expert pistol using the snipers kit, because I believe a silenced pistol helps because the target wont hear the shots coming and react.
