Basic Pistol Combat

I have been trying to get my basic pistol combat badge for so long now. WHat is teh best map team and kit. Also i need stragitys.

Play ghost town if you have special forces.

Be a medic or support.

Go on top of the buildings in the center of the map, and shoot snipers in their backs with the pistol....

If you are support give yourself extra ammo, medic give yourself extra health.

Any of the urban-ish maps will work - Karkand, Sharqi, Mashtuur.

The key to pistol combat is playing like you're trying to get your knife badge, but just use your pistol instead.

you need a cite map, where there is some infantry action , main thing to remember is that you need to aim for the head, then the enemy is out in 2-3 shots.

You can do it in less than 5 minutes with a sniper kit.

I got both my bas. pistol/knife and veteran pistol/knife on Karkand. The key to getting the bulk of your kills is the Hotel spawnpoint. As USMC, spawn forward and rush down the street to the right of the spawnpoint. Lurk at the corner of the alley accessways. People tend to rush right to the area with the boxes south of the hotel flag and congregate. Peek around the corner, and then run in and get a few easy knife kills. If you survive that, rush building with the ladder right next to the spawnpoint. Inevitable, someone will be sniping or laying down covering fire with the MG. Leap across and do the bidness. Alternatively, you can lurk on that rooftop and watch people as they run down alleyways. Leap down, follow, murder.

Also try running right past the flag, down the stairs to that little alcove near the dumpster. You can usually get a sniper or two around that area, or get lucky and knife a guy in the butt as he climbs the ladder.

As the map progresses, there is usually a logjam in the alley behind the Tow Missle at the Market flag, or someone will be on the emplaced MG.

Comms and AT's like to lurk at the little villa near the Suburb flag. Approach it from the west and pray for rain.

You really have to chance your mentality from "Soldier" to "Horror Movie Slasher". Lurk around corners, follow people, hide on rooftops, go to known sniper nests, whatever it takes.

You can pretty much do the exact same thing to get your pistol badge. I got around 4 kills from the rooftop adjacent the Hotel flag before someone sent me a grenade fed-ex. Don't be shy to plink at someone from a distance. It's a shame to die with a full magazine...

I found that medic was really helpful. Good sprint bar, can heal yourself, and can revive teammates for some extra points here and there. AT and Support are nice because of the armor, but the sprint bar will be your best friend.

Just use the pistol instead of your primary weapon for a whole round, dont think about your KD ratio, just use the pistol and kill!

Like I said, sniper rifle + a couple pistol shots. You won't get killed a bunch of times using your pistol only either.

O yeah I forgot, that was my favorite.

Hit em once with m95 and then one shot em with a Pistol...

Use the pistol as an offensive weapon. Be medic so you can heal yourself. Pretty easy badge to get.

I don't think people realize the pistol can actually kill people.

If you engage in a medium range prone spray-off, pull out the pistol and fire away.

Exactly. Click as fast as you can whilst pulling the mouse down and you'll get kills pretty easily.

Daquin oilfield, sneak behind enemy flag
wait untill someone spawn...
and shoot him.
Thats how I got it :)
