    The Solution to Claymores

    Use the Engineer Wrench!
Yes, it can actually pick up claymores. Just don't get in front of it, take out your wrench, and pick it up. While I still sometimes get killed by claymores, defusing the claymores clears out areas for your teammates to move around. I haven't seen anybody else do this while playing bf2, I just wanted to make it a more known tactic.

1.) No other weapon in the game requires another specific weapon to counter. This is called "balance."
2.) Mines in narrow areas like the Karkand alleyways and the Warlord hallways can not be simply stepped around.

Better tactic, just walk on top of them and let the rest of your team run on to glory.

I don't think they should do FF but I think that they should be able to be destroyed by explosives....

Mines require a wrench to remove. C4 can't be removed at all. Just bring an engineer with you next time.

C4 needs to be watched by a nearby SO, so when you see the C4, the SO is nearby. Kill him and the C4 is useless.

AT mines don't carry a risk of killing the disarmer, can't be put in a position where it's impossible to disarm without running all the way around a building, and are disarmed by a class designed as vehicle support anyway.

And perhaps most importantly, MOST players are on foot at any given time, not in vehicles, meaning claymores affect a larger portion of them. This is coming with the other sniper buffs which make them a powerful anti-infantry force.

              My solution.....

Run into claymore. Respawn and go back.

                Hahaha! Not really.

The best part of Spec Ops is that you can cover two totally different parts of the map at the same time. In my 150+ hours with the kit I would often take a flag, rig it with C4, and then trot off to take care of other issues. When the flag went white or the commander tipped me off to a capping force, I'd blow it up - and that attacking force would've never found me. I wasn't even in the area!

To be honest the best way around this is to play on servers where FF is not swithced off for the Claymore...

The second best (and perhaps most fun) on FF off servers is to spawn as a sniper and throw your own claymores in there and let the enemy run over them...

I usually let someone else go first when I see one.

Wrenching leaves you wide open and if the claymore is placed in a high activity zone, you'll probably get shot.
