When looking for a hiding spot, think: Where would you look for a sniper if you were the enemy, and then STAY AWAY from that location.

Snipers can be just as effective in a squad, moving around capping flags, pop one shot in his chest and let the rest of the squad finish him (or pop his head if you are lucky).

It worked great in pre 1.2, to just run around with the M95 and when you see an enemy instantly dolphin (ONE dolphin, not repeatadly, just to hit the ground), zoom and fire away, then pick up pistol (if you didn't head) and finish him.

Talking of positions, on Dragon Valley I've found that hiding on the north side river bank UNDER the bridge just northeast the temple flag gives you a good clear view of two spawn points... When you take a shot at someone you can watch them run around looking up at the surrounding hills looking for a sniper...
