With new patch , my game now locks up?

Ok this is getting annoying lol, after i installed the new patch i was able to play the game for about 3 -4 hrs. then it locked up and forced my comp to restart! when it came back on and i went to bf2 all my settings were reset to the factory defalts, ie gfx settings and audio settings? now when i try to get in to the game it loads up and when i get to the team/ kit screen it hangs there , i can see people in the back ground and here the jets flying around and my task manager says bf2 is running , but still i cant play at all! I have updated all my drivers and still same thing? One strange thing was that as i was playing yesterday my ram usage cept creeping higher and higher ( i have a logitech G15 keybord to monitor in game stuff) it started at the normal 60% of ram and last i saw was up to 92%? is this a memory leak?? PLZ HELP!

ok after talking with ea games for about 45 minutes found the trouble, it was one of 2 things. first i had to clear my windows temp folder, then they had me go to my docs and remove the bf2 folder that has your user profiles in it. it fixed the problem , when i asked what it was that was causing the trouble i was told that the patch installed a corupted folder LMAO!!! THX again EA ............next patch try to get it right (for once)

The best thing to do with BF2 patches is full reinstall.

there is a phone number in the back of the users manual, it's not toll free i might add the call cost me about 5$ lol
