New for me in 1.20: chat keys active!

Since installing 1.2, I now find myself exiting my chopper whenever I press my enter/exit key - even though I am in chat mode. I have even re-bound my enter/exit key to see if it was 'E' specifc ... it's not. I like to type team-chat msgs when flying...but now it leaves me stranded in the middle of nowhere!

Again, I NEVER had this problem with 1.12, but have had it happen frequently since the patch came out.

EDIT: Note: I did complete uninstall of all BF2, including the stuff in the MyDocuments/BF2 dir. Then I installed from CD's and applied the FULL 1.2 patch. No special forces.

It has been that way from the beginning, yet it didn't ALWAYS happen. You could type chat messages with "e" in them and not drop out. maybe 1 out of 10 times you would. I suppose its a problem with something not knowing that you are in chat mode or lag or something. Did it get worse?

Yeah it has happened to me before the patch but only in aircrafts. It finally frustrated me when i was the gunner in the helo after a long ass time of some terrible guy doing it. And when i get going i type to go after the cobra and i hit enter and fall to my death. Now my enter/exit is mouse button 4 on my logitech.
