    Re: punkbuster error

i was getting the EXACT SAME THING! everyone says to update PB but i already did and it didn't fix it. i still keep getting kicked with "No Packet Flow" or 5 minutes.

the solution? download the OLD PB software - http://www.evenbalance.com/downloads/pbweb.exe

put it in your PB folder and run it. once it's finished, you WON'T see that error again.

    gl!

I'm glad they're still keeping pbweb.exe available. That's what I use instead of the crappy pbsetup.exe.

I'm gonna start recommending pbweb.exe again now that I know people can get it straight from PB.

                Re: punkbuster error

You're looking for a FOLDER (subdirectory) named pb.

If you do not have a folder named 'pb', then PunkBuster has somehow been deleted or uninstalled and you may run into problems.

You may have to completely re-install or search the evenbalance site for a way to re-install only punkbuster.

                    Re: punkbuster error

                    Ok, let's try this:

                    -Click the 'Start' button
                    -Click 'Run...'
-copy (control+c) and paste (control+v) the following (including the quotes) in to the run box and hit enter:
                    Code:
                    "C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2\pb"
That should take you directly to the pb subfolder if it exists.

Then you don't have PunkBuster installed I'm afraid.

                        That's your problem.

Re-installing BF2 completely should solve this.

                        You COULD try this:

                        But I doubt it'll work.

                            Did it work?

I just had an idea...I helped a friend of mine this way. Let me zip up the contents of the punkbuster directory and post it here.

                            Here...download this:

...and decompress (extract) it into your Battlefield 2 directory. You should be back in action.

It'll create a pb folder and fill it with all of the necessary Punkbuster files.
