If you look closely, you can see that the Tank is sitting on a airport runway, and that the photo is obviously from a military firepower demonstration, that wasn't 200 people dying in a milisecondOriginally posted by wolfi

Goats on the side of the road everywhere. There is this one road, name withheld, where they have these poles with crossmembers that they hang em on right out in public, and slit the throats and clean and cut the meat. They pull entrails out, you name it. Just like a deer, but right there on the street. Nice, smells good too, and I still need a picture of it.
Now is this a good hole or a bad hole. A/C or JDamm from US in the building! BTW, it was a military structure. No harm done.
Ah, good ole' country living. Just like home. All kidding aside, there are huge areas like this, and there are so, so many kids that live there. They seem to have no school, and are in complete poverty. I'm in a HUMVEE for this mission and a few others. I'm up in the "Gunners" spot. Oh wait I meant shoot me in the head spot.

Look at this damn unruly mob. I have to lay down the law and start beating some of these little pricks down.
On the way out of "OPERATION WHEELCHAIR" we went down a side road and this girl was manning the store at the intersection. She wanted water but due to insurgents, we can't just get out of vehicles and hand out stuff. Look at the garbage and the area behind her.
Look these insurgents are getting near my HUMVEE. What is the guy up on top waiting for, mow em down! Just kidding, these kids were great, and kept talking to me. Its hard to talk and watch at the same time. At then end we got pictures as a good PR thing. They kept jumping up and down and singing a pro-American Iraqi chant. It was cool.
Hey Mac, you got my back, watch the back out there OK. OH GOD WTF, good job. Oh wait, its COMPASS CALL, all the hatches are closed, ain't nothing for him to do anyway except talk, and I hate that. This is in the morning about 5.10 am and he is beat. LOL.
On another note, we had a guy get shot the other day. Luckily his plates stopped the bullet. He was just getting up out of the tank hatch to tell the children to move back, when an insurgent plugged a round at him in the back. It was a sniper shot and thankfully the plates stopped it. I knew the guy and he was part of OIF I, so he's lucky now as he didn't get shot the last time around. It bruised him though, and it was on the same route we patrol at night. It was at our bravo sections checkpoint though, so now they need to be xtra careful.
Look at what these dumbasses did one night right after passing us and heading home for the evening. We went to go Zero our wpns and found this. This is in the day time after we had the road blocked off for quite some time and the crowds of people are starting to become an angry mob.
Here is a pic using the GAS sight. Notice the nice stadia reticules I have at my disposal. This is the Auxillary Tank sight that I use.
Here is a pic at 3 in the morning after we found them like this. Its in my tanks thermals, and it doesn't show up here as well as it does in my tanks sight, but its cool nonetheless.
