I made a post about this possibly being a win64 issue; but I don't think it is.
Background:
I built a new system a few months back. It is an AMD dual core system.
I installed BF 2 on the new system with no problems.
I re-downloaded the SF pack I had on my old system, got the stupid f'ing cdkey error. Bagged it and just played normal BF 2. Not a big deal - still had loads of fun.
Got 1.2
installed it. Played BF 2.
Tried SF - same cd key error.
Uninstalled SF. Reinstalled. Same error. Edited the registry per the comments in various threads. Same error.
Uninstalled SF, the BF 2.
Put the dvd in the drive to reinstall BF 2.
It goes to the first screen, select install. The next window opens up, the status bar completes and the window disappears. There is a flash of what appears to be the full screen install program - - - and then nothing.
At all.
I watched the task manager and the process started and then goes away.
EA is no help at all.
They suck ass.
Anyone else experience this?
