Re: m95
You could have just through the topics already here...
The L96 owns, and all sniper rifles' accuracy has been increased. M24 is still more accurate with the thinner scope, though.

Re: m95
M24 is verry accuracy
M95 has amorpenetrating abbilitys, but relatively low accuracy
I haven't had the chance to test the L95A1

Re: m95
the new sniper is great it has really thin lines making targeting distant people is far easier, it has the sam accuracy as the M24 but im not sure if you can shoot through glass with it.

Re: m95
The M95 is the only sniper rifle that can penetrate glass in BF2.
The L96A1 is an exact copy of the M24 in damage, accuracy and clip. The only difference is scope and sound.

Re: m95
I've just come back from an M95 session, and it was sweet. The deviation is almost gone, and I found myself hitting people so easily it was confusing,
I also tried the L96. Now it may just be me, but I still like the 95 better, because it can take out a chopper pilot or gunner. I guess I also got used to the bolt action so it no longer bothers me. The semi-auto is nice, but not good enough to make me give up the Barrett.
One thing -- at least on the games I played, the L96 is only available to the Spetsnaz. The SAS are still stuck with either the M24 or the M95.

Re: m95
HUH, i thought that the L96A1 was just a SF unlcoks, but was standard in Euro.
But now it seems like it is on Spetsnaz?
Is that true, and does this mean it is also availbale for the Rebels?

Re: m95
l96 is exactly equivalent to the m24, and both are the most accurate
m95 has armor penetration, and about half as accurate when prone (.005 m24/l96 vs .01 m95)
the svd and chinese equivalent have the same accuracy as the m95, but they are weaker, taking up to 4 shots to kill, and of course, they are semi auto.

Re: m95
I tried on that missile one, whatever it's called, and the L96 did not show up as a choice on either side. Maybe it's just me, but my game otherwise works fine.Originally posted by Killa4liveHUH, i thought that the L96A1 was just a SF unlcoks, but was standard in Euro.

Re: m95
From what I could see of the numbers, the M95 is as accurate as the M24 used to be. The M24 is now more accurate and the L96 is a carbon copy of the M24...

Re: m95
Funny thing about that, m8. I got so used to the M95 that I prefer it to all other sniper rifles. Sure it's noisy, and has little ammo, and there's a delay in reloading, but damned if I didn't pick off two targets in quick succession, with 1 shot each, from over 100 m. in a foggy map.
They died so fast they never saw me. And it's lovely to have a rifle that can put a hole right thru a canopy, as that's been known to startle a few of the fly-boys . . .
