All Seeing Eye...anyone use it?

So I picked up All Seeing Eye today, just the trial. Trying to check it out. I have gotten it listing BF2 games, with the filters I like, and it looks good...but I can't actually LAUNCH a game from it. It will launch BF2, but it just drops me to the login screen and never takes me to the game I selected (even if I login). Do I have to copy IP's? Or is there a way to get ASE to launch BF2 in to the game I want?

(P.S. Did a search, but couldn't find anything...sorry if this has been covered)

You can't lauch the game, but I always use this to find the best server. You can just copy the IP:Port and paste it in the Server Browser. In the new 1.2 patch this is improved as well which allows you to use CTRL-C and CTRL-V.

You can COPY and PASTE IPs in v1.2?!??!?!??!

right click on battlefield 2 (top left where it lists the installed games)and go down to custom configeration in the CMD line put "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe"+menu 1 +username ***** +playerPassword ***** and replace the 1st set of * with your user name and the 2nd set of * with your password (make sure that your BF2 account is set to remember your password) this works for me

Yes, you can copy and paste in ASE now but as you can see in the link that Talus posted (same reply as Tetra), if you spend 2 minutes setting up ASE then you won't have to login every again and won't have to C&P either.

You could use xfire mate :)

It has a serverbrowser and favourites list for a ton of different games and its also a gaming chat-client ie. you can use it to chat ingame with your buddies provided that they have it aswell ^^

As it's my wife's B-Day and I'm in a good non-fmaling mood I'll give you the link rather than just telling you that a Google search for 'BF2 ASE prefix' gives you the answer in the first link.

Not stricty true mine launches vanilla and SF... all you need to do is a couple of little alterations to your FILTERS.TXT file and away you go or a minor mod to the command line of the .exe file... its all in the forums for ASE...

if Not PM me and ill talk you through it... send you my filters.txt etc and show you what to alter and where. or just follow the link futher up in the post.


i love ase and have been using it for years.. specially handy for the WAIT FOR SLOT TO OPEN feature to get into your fav severs.
