unlock a special forces gun

k i need to know real quick. i jus ranked up to staff sergeant and i want to unlock the special forces f2000 assault rifle.do i need to unlock the g3 first? cus the only options i have is the regular bf2 dao, g3, jackhammer, and the support rifle. it doesnt give me the option to unlock the f2000 can sum1 please tell me wat to do . thx in advance

Yes, you need to unlock the BF2 vanilla unlock weapon before you can unlock the SF weapon of the same class.

youre not going to like this but...

the F2000 is a Lvl2 unlock.

you have to have the Lvl1 fist. so if you want it and you havvnt got the G3 and you have only 1 unlock point your stuffed.

however the G3 is a superb gun.
