Just bought BF2...

after hearing about all the problems people are having with patch 1.2 (namely radeon issues), I'm nervous about updating.

My question is: After I install the game, should I update to v1.12 and play with it?

-or-

Will I be able to play BF2 without going to 1.2?

My system is an Athlon64 3200 w/ 1.5gig dual channel and a 9600xt 256mb card...

(I installed the demo last night and it ran like a champ...)

ime not 2 sure what all the complaints about the patch are i updated mine yesterday after recently buying the game and it works perfectly

Mine is perfect too and it's also working for about 155,000 people.

If you don't install 1.2 then in a couple of days you won't be able to play online anywhere. The patch isn't an option.
