P90 or AWP (Yes, I play CS)

So, I looked around for the posts like this, which is better?

I play Anti Tank all the time, it's my favorite kit. Does the P90 add anything to it? Sniping is ok, but does the AWP make is fun to do?

The P90 is a waste of time the DAO is still the best gun for AT also the stock guns are better than the P90 aswell

The L96A1 is an excellent sniper rifle, with characteristics not unlike its Counter-Strike counterpart.

The P90, on the other hand, is a rather weak, unreliable weapon. It doesn't pierce body armour from what I've seen. In real life, the P90 is and extremely fast firing, body armour piercing man killer. In BF2, you're better of killing the enemy with medic packs.

P90 is growing on me. I'm still mad that the ROF is so slow, but it gives the class a more well-rounded effective range over the other SMGs and DAO. The 50 round clip is nice as well and headshots come easy with the nice scope.

The L96 is a carbon copy of the M24 in terms of stats, so if you play mostly USMC I don't really think it's worth unlocking. It has a good scope and is very quiet, however, so it's a nice thing to have on MEC and PLA.

The P90 is definately a step up from the MP5 or the other SMGs, because it has more ammo. and its a cool weapon :)

Hear, hear. The increased effective range for AT men is nice in maps like Kubra, Songhua and Zatar.

A definite improvement for the kit. Now, I wish they did something similar for the engineer, my favorite kit.

That's about all it has going for it. It is only slightly more accurate than the others and does the same damage per hit but with a lower RoF (=longer time to kill in CQC). Pistols are still more accurate than any of the SMGs and do more damage so they are still the best at anything beyond very short range.

I've had some success with the P90. Basicly, you give up some of your raw close range damage in favor of some flexibility. Single shots with the P90 are not too bad at mid-longish range. I've also had several encounters at close range where I was able to hose down DAOers before they took me out.

Gotta go for the headshots tho. The damage is perty uninspiring otherwise.

for the P90 it is best against unamoured personnal...
if they guy you are shooting @ is either assult, AT or support, it requires a few more additional shots to kill him..
It ****ed me off when I inserted 6 bullets into him and he just turnaround and killed me w/ 3 shots....
