Help With Servers + Patch

I'm currently new to the whole BF series. When I try to join a red coulered server it says "please check your network connections and try again." My connections are fine because when I go to try a white coulered server, it works.

Does this mean I need some sort of patch, if so, can you tell me which one and where I can d/l it.

ime new to and also suffer from this problem, do u connect to a server and then it tells u ure network settings are wrong??

Yep. You have to get the patch but I dunno which one.

I'm afraid of getting the patch because I use a ATI Video Card... People who have them after getting the patch had some serious difficulty.

The only patch you need is the current full 1.2 patch released over the last 2 days, NOT the incremental 1.12 to 1.2 patch but the FULL 1.2 patch, as for people having problems with ATI cards after the patch, thats just BS, patch your game NOW with the 1.2 full patch.
