    Decent flight joystick......suggestions please

Since it is now easier to get into a Jet, and harder to stay alive in one, I would like to invest in a decent joystick.
Which model do you 1337 pilots recommend?

Logitech Attack 3, cheap (16 $ AU), easy to use, more than fine for BF2.

      The result is this:

              What is "esentional" fat hobbit?

Or maybe you were going for a Shakesperian tone: "I have hadeth 2 cheapish joysticks, and thy wast crappeth becausith problematic calibration. Howeverith the Logitech Extreme 3d is grand, and full of possibilities, calibration of course is of an essentail nature.

Same as me, i'm trying to learn to fly though because piloting sounds fun in this new patch; a nice challenge :)

Off topic: Is there any servers that have flight lessons or is there any good specififc guide to piloting; i've read all of them on here and now need more tips.

                    Thanks

Which ever one they suggest, I'd prolly go for something different.

I've been thinking about going for a Saitek.
                      I'd like this one:

But I'd prolly go with this:

This website is for sale! saitekusa.com is your first and best source for all of the information you’re looking for. From general topics to more of what you would expect to find here, saitekusa.com has it all. We hope you find what you are searching for!

Logitech are perty good, but I've had problems with their production standards lately... I had a keyboard crap out, my old logitech joystick doesn't work, and even the little feet fell off my MX510 mouse.

Saitek seems to be preducing some good solid stuff.
I'm more inclined to go with 'em.

Well Wargimp, that first Saitek looks pretty cool, but since I live in a studio flat, I think the second will have to do....

Hmm i have this one .. i "modded" mine and cut off the base spring now its frickin amazing! always felt i was fighting with it for control. Since i took the spring off (takes some getting used to) my flying has improved no end.

Only thing with this stick(s) is the rudder isnt a twist grip. Its a rocker button underneath the throttle control pad grip. This too takes some getting used to. An incredible stick to say the least, but if your going to spend that amount opf dosh on a stick get the model up from this one the X52.
My m8 has that one and it has twist rudder control, parrently a lot easier to get used to than the X45.
BTW is has some nice macro editor features too :P

I looked at the x45 and x52, too pricey for me really, I also looked at the Saitek evo, but was put off by bad reviews regarding drift. I have a Saitek RF3000 Gamepad that went the same way - so opted for the Logitech Extreme 3D, a bargain at £27.
