I think DICE's quality control is 2 monkeys punding on the keyboards of the test machines.
Bingo. NONE of the nerfs or gameplay tweaks should have been addressed until the engine issues were addressed. Broken game first, then help the people who suck if they're stil around.

Here's one for the list (from Maranello's thread):
Game now uses 200MB more memory.

I am assuming this is partly to do with the two new weapons. Oh and of course an extra element to the game, the UAV. This would increase memory use I suppose as an extra model with textures in-game.

Good luck finding one for this job though. I never tried it, but I'm guessing you can only approach it from one side.

For me the game seems a bit more laggy and stuttering since the patch. Maybe it was just a busy night, have to wait and see.
For the first time I had a APC missile just disappearing and an AT go through the side of an APC at point blank range (pre patch, it only went through a buggy that's trying to run you over).

Yes, but are the towers supposed to "store" the missiles you shoot at them, only to fling them after the next airplane/chopper flying by? It's a hilarious bug!

As far as the 'modified dolphin diving' goes, does the diver benefit from prone accuracy the entire time or just when his model shows that he's prone?

Because, to me, it appears as if the diver is only prone a fraction of the time.

            Therefore:
-he only has prone accuracy a fraction of the time
-he is only harder to hit a fraction of the time

So, if that's the case...let 'em dive.

This is hilarious! I haven't laughed so much since that Soldner demo came out!!!

Experienced most of those bugs, and I agree that an alarming amount of bugs are getting through the "testing" with these patches. It really seems to infer that no actual play testing was conducted before the release. The fact that joe public can fire up his game and in the space of an hour find a dozen new bugs makes me wonder who exactly is testing for DICE...

Sorry by "bugs" I mean "features".

To be fair, they have fixed alot of gameplay issues (which are FAR from minor IMHO), which i personally would rather see fixed than some of the bugs mentioned here.

Also, sometimes game developers outsource the physics engine. In such a case, if a problem occurs between the game and the physics engine, sometimes it simply cant be fixed. I spoke to someone at a games company who had a problem that was caused be the interaction between the game and the physics engine, they couldnt access the problem and the physics company wouldnt/couldnt resolve it.

That might explain the hit problems and maybe even the sound problems.

I am however willing to bet money most of the missing sounds are caused by people using stereo speakers / headphones with a card set to surround sound.

Ive only seen the tag bug once and that was ages ago and i play almost every night for hours. The tags do take a while to appear sometimes though, depending on the server it seems.

I also think that these sort of threads should be more balanced. Rather than just listing the things people dont like.

Ive noticed that i'll fire my AT and see a rocket fly straight through what im aiming at doing no damage at all. But then about 5 seconds later i can fire again and the first rocket hasn't used any ammo. :|:

Not true in my case. I play with surround sound using a Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS. Yesterday, I was an APC (Friendly) firing, and I turned around 360 degrees. I didn't hear the firing sound out of any of my speakers.

And the greatest bug of them all:

The whole gameserver (!) instantly crashes, when you fire the tow mounted on a jeep. TOW-jeeps can be found on certain maps of Special Forces. Only workaround so far: take the maps with this vehicles out of the cycle. Well done DICE!

You called me, sir? (Over 180 hrs of engineering already...)

Seriously, though, there should be more engineers now around with the new FF feature for mines. People are just catching on slowly...

Suppose many of these bugs are one timers, since I have yet to meet half of them. The AT-rocket through vehicle has been there from the demo, and I suppose people first realise it's there now, since they've stored their noobtube and taken out the AT-rocket... o_O

I'm with demonicfrog on this one. With the new unlocks there are more people playing AT and sniper than ever before, but maybe not in the long run. We end up with more claymores and people finding the AT bugs which have always been there.

I can almost always tell if the AT-rocket is gonna go through the oncoming vodnik or not. I don't know why, if it's the angle of attack or speed but I just say to myself "This is going to go right through him" and it does :)
