BIG problems after Patch

I am very angry.

I did a system restore because my computer was messing up... then I installed bf2 and some other programs after installing all the windows updates and driver updates. I have the current ATI catalyst (6.2) all of the required windows updates, And I installed the FULL 1.2 patch.

Everything worked fine, before the comp messed up, in BF2. After Installing the patch, I can no longer see the buildings at all, they are completely invisible. And it laggs REAL hard, completely non-playable. Happens everytime I try and play a singleplayer game, haven't even tried playing online. I have been playing the game since IT CAME OUT with NO PROBLEMS EVER. I have every setting on low, which is where I had them before, and bf2 ran smoothly. Now it is not even worth the plastic it is burnt onto. I HATE YOU EA.

Windows XP home SP 2
Intel Pentium 4 2.66 GHZ CPU
ATI RADEON 9000 series
512mb RAM
onboard REALTEK audio

I am still not able to play the game... apparently alot of people are having problems with the no buildings, but no fix?

This is a Major issue with the patch, I can't believe this crap.

Jeezuz man look at your specs, its a wonder you can run anything, please remember this aint counter****e, you NEED a decent system to get the best outta BF2, sorry to say yours aint one of em. Only one word for you, UPGRADE!

I agree. No matter what may be the root of your problem, you need to upgrade as soon as you have enough $$$$. The patch has caused some major problems for some people who had no problems before and I'm sure EA/Dice is working on a solution, which is why the Euro map pack hasn't been released yet.

He doesnt exactly NEED an upgrade. If he can run the game on low (which I do) then thats fine. Although an upgrade is sorta reccomended. I have the same system as you almost.
