Anyone else having problems playing the game after the patch? I can't even log in. I double-click the icon, it starts it's normal routine, then before I ever get to the login screen, it kicks me back to desktop. Anyone have any ideas?

Make sure the launch display and resolution are supported by your monitor. In C:\Documents and Settings\(your name)\My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles or something similar.Comment

I'm having a prob but I think it's a thing about my wireless connection..."u have a prob with your connection" and boom!!! menu screen....people are going more & more for this kind of tech, and they are jamming all the channels available....RRRRRRRRRRR.....Any way I installed the game enumerous times, ran the patches differently in all ways possible...checked my Acess point firmware...checked my connection...(BTW it's an 8 Mb)...signal's good...and I'm starting to get pis*ed off with this.....For all I know, any of the CTD's I have or Lags are an issue of connection probs....Comment

I hope I have another option other than a complete reinstall. What a waste. I Made You...I looked and don't even see a file for video settings. I see plenty of setting files, but nothing for video at all, at least not at that location.Comment

You should not ahve to go through all the trouble of uninstalling everything and reinstalling. That is a load of BS I think. A patch is supposed to fix things not make you go through all kinds of crap just to make something work half-a$$ed....lameComment

Uninstalling and reinstalling does not work. I run BF2 on 2 computers. 1 it installed fine, the other I am the same problems as you. I have uninstalled, removed registry entries, everything and it does not work.
It runs with original install but as soon as I patch it CTD's. Grrrrrrr.Comment

Orion I have a new videocard, so I don't think it's that. Madmech, I feel your pain. That's why I didn't want to reinstall. I hope there's a fix for this somewhere. I had stopped playing because I didn't like the state of the game. I thought this patch would go a long way towards bringing some more balance to the game. But I can't even test it out. Fun!Comment
