Alright, it is possible to take it down, but you get no points for it. It says so on the official EA 1.2 page. I'm not sure on hitting it with AA, though I doubt thats possible-it would just be too easy.

well yes you can shoot it down, but no not wit the AA guns (unless your VERY lucky) they dont lock i tried yesterday

It can be shot down , didn't try it yet, but it can be shot down, guy said it in interview, but you don't get points for it .

AA won't work on the UAV because it doesn't have a jet or turbine engine wich means it doesn't produce lots of heat, I think a PKM will do just fine for taking it down

The UAV in the game appears to be a MQ-1 Predator, then here's the general characteristics.

So if it's engine is a Rotax 914 four cylinder engine producing 101 horsepower. Then you know anything with an engine produces oh you know heat.

The heat signature maybe too small for an AA to lock on, but it's still possible.

That's not the in-game UAV. I don't think the army would want a $40 million UAV, which can be shot down by a few bullets. There is another UAV, which is about the size of a RC plane. Runs on batteries.

There's a lot of UAVs there's one that about the size of a full size jet another the size of a frisbee that's battery powered and hovers around, however........

They both look the same to me except for a paint job, so it must be the MQ-1 Predator

The smaller ones he is talking about are the Raven. essentially backpack UAVs.

Thank you! That was the UAV I was talking about. I didn't get to see the one in BF2 till now. I don't know why they uses the Predator though. It's $25 million and can be shot down by one mag. Also, the real life predator carries some deadly fire power.

It can't be shot down by AA.
And I have no chance of shooting it down even in jet using the machine gun...
I wonder if any one is willing to crash the jet into the UAV, see what happen :p

its quite destroyable, you can shoot him down with a F35B, and yes, you can crash into it.

Yesterday I managed to blow it up with the chopper's machinegun, it blew up in no time, but flying up that high can be very risky... I think Vodnik is also a good solution.
I'm very disappointed, that actually noone trys to take it down yet... ppl just donno what it is or the the fact it is destroyable...
