BF2 all of a sudden became choppy as hell

I was playing BF2 fine (it was always fine), until all of a sudden it became slow and choppy as hell. I've lowered all my graphics settings and I haven't taken up much HD space, so it is a complete mystery to me.

probably the new patch, that is, if it worked fine before u patched. which patch are you on, and what were your FPS during the old one?

i dont think ur GFX card is suported and mine isnt eitheir but sheeee dont tell anyone..i had the same problom and i just hit "set to defualts" and now its fine. try updating ur bois and drivers www.ati.com,www.intel.com, or www.amd.com

I was at 1.0 when it started, and then I installed the full 1.2 patch, but it didn't stop.

And which drivers should I install?

first off, the x600 IS SUPPORTED. also, get the ATI catlyst drivers (6.1 i belive) from ati.com for your radeon. and if you dont already, get chipset drivers. if you purchased your computer froma a company dont worry, but if you built it make sure you have the chuipset drivers for your mobo.

Im not sure but does the refresh rate have anything to do with it?
I know the resolution does, but im not sure what happens when you set a different refresh rate..

ok did u have the 1.12 patch? beacuse if u did u should have only downloaded the incremtly(spelling) patch.

No. I had 1.0 and I intalled the full one.
