I am at my moms house so I can't play this week (computer is at dads)
Ok I would prefer responses from people with 50+ hours in the jet.
How are the AA's? Are they really as bad as people say they are (I doubt they are)? What would you say the range of the AA is now *if it changed at all*?
I have also heard things about no one getting in jets. Is this true?
If they really are as good as they say, what would you suggest doing... im thinking, just take out every popular AA (like on wake, the north village one, airfield, and beach) and im thinking you will have approx. a 30 second window of "free time".
Im also thinking flying semi-high (around 450 or so, where you can still see the map, but in the clouds) will work good for taking out jets. The A2A missles are supposedly extremely deadly (lock on and HIT anything), and I would think letting someone behind you will be very stupid.
Here is what I am thinking a typical "run" on wake would consist of.
take off and take out north village AA and check to see the north base AA's, then make a 3/4 circle turn to the left while gaining altitude (back up to like 400 or so) and taking out the airfield AA, and then maybe strafe the heli/jet spawns, come back around and try over near the tank and that area, and then on the third time take out the AA (even if its not there i would shoot at it due to people most likely waiting for it).
What are some things you use to get around without getting killed from AA besides the obvious (taking out the AA). Is there anything I should know about ANY kind of aircraft (heli's included)?
(also does anyone know the exact range of a typical stationary AA? I heard it was like 250m then it blows up or something..)
