    angry about unlocks

    well, as many others, when i logged into bf2 a week or so ago , i got that unlock screen popping up. And as most others, i also selected some unlocks. Then i heard it wasnt even ment to happen (ie it shouldnt had you pick anything) well it did. Now what im agnry at is, i unlocked the support mg's , tho i NEVER play support or assault (the unlocks i had left). So now the patch came , and so did the new weapons. Only , i cant unlock them , since, well see above ...

    im very ****ed at EA for this and hope theyll do something about it. Im sure im not the only one with this issue.


    /me wants p90 and l96 , not stupid pkm and g36 which i never use anyway lol.

      Then why did you unlock those in the first place, if youre not gonna use them? I really doubt ea is going to do anything soon about the unlocks...

          well i got a question towards EA, or a smart guy on the forums:

          My current global score is 15000+ and i have unlocked the weapons i got at 8000 points. then i got that screen and unlocked 2 more weapons. now, if i reach 20000 i'm supposed to get another pair of unlocks. will I get them?

              I saved one of my unlocks for the upcoming patch, for the sniper.

                  i had pkm , g36 , g3 and flashbangs left lol. and then all of a sudden that unlock screen so wtf i thought and picked them.

                  should i not have picked them ? maybe .. this doesnt change the fact the it was EA/Dices/Gamespys screw up and not mine...

                      the p90 is not that groundbreaking gun you think it is, and the l96 , well same as the m24 and m95 now that the accuracy on sniper rifles have been ajusted(xcept for the cool sound it makes). dont worry man, you're not missing that much, the pkm is good for now wit the new acc so its not a total loss, just practice

                          about 2 weeks ago when you received the two unlock pointswas because EA had added two Tier 2 (SF unlock points) to the first to ranks that receive unoocks. To the other question once you hit 20k you will get TWO more unlock points for unlocks you want.

                              yes but the unlocks shouldnt even had showed up before patch. EA even said that. It should only had those empty windows for unlock, something to do with testing with gamespy whatever.

                                  How far are you from the next unlock? It didnt take too much common sense to realise that they were for the new patch.

                                      correct the unlocks should not have shown up,but they did with out telling ppl that they were meant to be kept if they wanted the new unlocks in the patch.which they never said untill after alot off ppl used them.

                                      i saved mine but there was no point :) i have to buy sf so i can use a new bf2 unlock<--- now that sucks

                                          Lol. I never take unlocks lightly. If you would have researched these boards the day of you would have found out.

                                          You probably thought that ea messed up so you would choose your "free" unlocks real quick before they take them back.

                                          Be mad at yourself for not thinking the situation through.

                                          Be happy that the unlocks you chose were better than the new ones anyway.
