I been a major pilot in all the battlefields and battlefield2 AA improvements are SO nice. I love how once flares are dropped you have the period of vunerability from AA. Makes pilots have to be smart and use the environment for masking. As for Air to Air plane engagement; to me it seems hey first to spot and get on the enemies tail will mostly prevail. I don't mind this. If like the poster said that the slower you fly and less of a turn you make makes you less prone to get hit by the Air to Air missle than why not just use that tactic?
Anyway so far I'm liking the whole new AA adjustment. May the true Pilots shine now!
I had an odd shot yesterday. Was playing Oman and chasing a F-35 while in the SU-34. I fired a missile at an impossible angle while he was hard turning, and the missile actually flew an intercept course instead of just following behind the plane. Not only that, but when it intercepted the fighter, it hit the cockpit and kill him with one hit(wasn't smoking and I had tailed him since he left the carrier). IMO thats a prime example for how the air to air is extremely overpowered(I liked how it made for an intercept course tho), however I think the surface to air aa is nigh on perfect. Its good enough to do its job, but not too good so as to make aircraft useless.
1) Any Newbie who is lucky enough to find himself on the tail of a good pilot can hit quite good with missiles now. A good pilot can kill you quicker than ever before.
This sounds like a contridictory statement to me. A good pilot with noob on his tail long enough to establish lock and fire??? Plus nothing wrong with good pilots killing quick...

The only one that are moaning are the **** pilots, and those who just like to fly the attack helis I feel sorry for the helicopter pilots now as they are practacly dead as soon as they take off, only 2 missiles and you die.
