    Why am I NOT Surprised ?

    [rant]Install incremental patch, go downstaires to eat, come back, Patching failed.

    I try to reinstall it... nope... dosent even want to start...
    I try to reinstall 1.12 with very little hope... nope...

    FINE !

    Uninstall battlefield2
    Restart Computer
    Reinstall Battlefield2
    Restart Computer
    Reinstall first patch
    Reinstall second patch 1.12
    Reinstall 1.2
    Error, setup has detected that an installation wizzard is still running or some thing of that nature...
    sure... RESTART computer.
    Error, Setup requires bf2 1.12 to be installed to install... (F YOU).. o k
    Go in the game, what do I see ? 1.12... ALRIGHT...
    Retry setup
    Error, Not enough disk space... GRRRRRRRRRRRRRr
    and why a different error...

    (I sent the patch to my friend thru msn, he installed it with no problem... good for him :'()

    Ill just download the FULL 1.2 and reinstall again.. but WAW....[/rant]

      Wow. Sucks.
      I didn't have any problem at all. It was fast and didn't whine at me for stupid amounts of harddrive space on my System Drive.

          You're not missing anything, if there are 1.12 servers still up I'd just play on those and enjoy the game in a decent state.

              I feel your pain.

              Sounds like you need a bigger HD, I bet there is a bit of paging on the HD during installation on your rig.

                      Why dont you try to reinstall bf2 and then apply the full 1.12 patch? When i tried to installl from 1.03 the patching crashed but after a reinstall and then going directly to 1.12 worked for me.

                          I will suggest to all out there reading this. Try to install the full update rather than the incremental patch. Always save this to HD first. This way if you have a problem you do not spend countless hours geting the patch again and again.
